It has been a while since we have brought you a fab new supplier so we couldn’t be more excited to introduce you to Tangerine and Green Florist. Having worked with Ashleigh in the past we know first hand just how amazing her wedding service is. Ashleigh has the ability to work with you to create your perfect wedding flowers within a budget that suits you and really does make choosing your wedding flowers as fun and exciting as it should be.
CAN YOU TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT yourself & Tangerine and Green?
Tangerine and Green is a beautiful florist in Englefield Green. We specialise in weddings big or small and can cater to every budget. We provided flowers for over 30 weddings last year. I have been a florist for 5 years and have owned Tangerine and Green for 3 years. I absolutely love my job and feel so lucky to come to work each day. We would love to discuss your wedding plans.
What is your favourite part of the job?
My favourite flowers to create are wedding flowers. There is something very special about delivering bridal flowers on the morning of the wedding! I love being part of such a special day.
Do you have a particular style you prefer to work in & what makes your style of floristry unique?
I keep up to date with the latest styles and trends and I then pass my knowledge onto brides, however, with Pinterest being such a big influence lots of brides come for a consultation and already know exactly what they want.
Can you explain the process a couple can expect once they have booked their wedding with you right through to on the day of the wedding?
I will have an initial consultation with the bride and groom (sometimes mothers, fathers and bridesmaids) and I will put together a quotation and we go from there, really making any changes along the way. The bride will pay a deposit and we keep in touch constantly. About a month before the wedding we will meet again and run through all the final details. Then on the big day, I deliver the flowers and set up the venue.
Do you have a particular flower you love to work with that looks stunning in wedding arrangements?
This is the hardest question as there are so many beautiful flowers to work with I honestly couldn’t say just one. I do love garden roses, peonies, eustoma and dahlia’s just to name a few.
What has been one of your favourite weddings to date and why?
My favourite weddings have been for friends although they are more stressful as the brides are much more demanding (because we are friends). It’s a lovely feeling to supply the flowers and attend the wedding with everyone knowing what you can achieve.
What advice would you give to couples who are ordering their wedding flowers?
Have a look at lots of different styles before making up your mind as you have a whole world of flowers to choose from. Choose something that suits your venue. Know your colour scheme before going to see the florist (this make our life easier 😲).
Tangerine and Green is located in Egham, Surrey and will cover Berkshire, Surrey, Buckinghamshire and Middlesex.
